Yeah, I'm pretty sure the people that will be buying the challenger are not as concerned with how many miles per gallon the car is getting. I'm guessing most buyers will not have this as their primary vehicle so it's more about having an awesome vehicle that has a lot of power behind it. And the car is definitely going to deliver!

Dodge is releasing what was originally the prototype Challenger Super Stock. It weights 800 lbs less than the stock Challenger and will dispatch the quarter mile in about 11 seconds.
Impressive.

I'm bothered by the interior spy pics.
They don't look good... :(

I was concerned about mileage when I puchased my LS1/6 speed Z28 Camaro in 1999 and gas now is more expensive than it was then.
The Camaro got 19 city/28 highway MPG. That was exceptional performance relative to the car's considerable performance potential. That combination played a key role in my decision to buy the car.
The Challenger is a heavy car for what it is.
Because the Camaro comes with an LS2 genius. 400hp > 300hp
The LS2 is no longer an RPO engine and has since been replaced by the LS3 in the Corvette - - genius.
Expect a "detuned" LS3 in the performance (i.e Z28) version of the Camaro.

That really is a nice car
